Lovense renames its newest toy to Dolce

Lovense has made an unusual announcement to its business partners, retailers and customers regarding the renaming of its latest product from Quake to Dolce. The new product name took effect with the September 28, 2021.

The unusual situation of changing the name of the sex toy was caused by the problems that the Lovense brand faced with the trademark of the name ‘Quake’ in some regions of the world. As a result, Lovense, which offers its products worldwide, has decided to globally rename the product into Dolce.

The device itself has not undergone any changes. The product name, on the other hand, has already been changed on the brand’s website, the Lovense online store, the Lovense software, all e-commerce platforms, and already in some retail stores.

Also starting September 28, all new products will be sold in new, updated packaging that will include the Dolce name.

The company notes that for a short while yet, products in the old packaging may still be delivered to customers. However, Lovense assures that toys sold in packaging containing the former name are fully operational, covered by a standard one-year warranty, and compatible with all Lovense services.

Lovense would like to sincerely apologize to its partners and customers for the inconvenience caused by this situation.

Meanwhile, if you are the lucky owner of a new, yet unopened Lovense Quake, then consider whether you really want to take it out of the box. Who knows, maybe in a few years, the box with the ‘Lovense Quake’ will become a valuable item for collectors of erotic toys.
