The eco-friendly brand Love Not War has received a prestigious Green Product Award. This is the third big award for the British sustainable erotic toy brand, which has been on the market for a year.
Launched in April 2021, Love Not War offers a collection of environmentally focused vibrators that use aluminum cans and transform them into luxury erotic toys. In just one year since entering the market, Love Not War has won a Gold iF Award, a Red Dot Award and now they can add one of the most prestigious in the eco-conscious world, the Green Product Award, to their collection of trophies.
According to the company, four recycled soda cans provide enough aluminum to produce one Love Not War toy. The brand’s newest product, Maya, is made up of 99% recycled aluminum, and it only takes three Coke cans to produce it. But that’s not all, one recycled newspaper, is enough to produce the cardboard packaging and inserts for two Love Not War devices.
“When we first launched Love Not War, we made it our mission to become the most sustainable adult toy brand on the market.” Co-Founder and CEO Will Ranscombe explained.
“To receive this Green Product Award, and just after Earth Day, is a massive achievement for us as a brand and a great testament to our efforts,” Ranscombe added. “We are incredibly proud of the entire Love Not War range and everything we have been able to achieve in such one year.”
“Being recognized at all is a huge achievement, but to win is a great honor. We are amongst some incredible companies that have sustainability at their heart, and that we at Love Not War take huge inspiration from.” said Co-Founder and Chief Designer Rob Scott.
“A big part of our product design is the detachable heads feature which enables our consumers to use just one rechargeable battery base with all of our interchangeable vibrator heads,” Scott continued. “This allows them to have multiple products in one, a game changer for the sex toy industry. Sex toys are difficult to repair if they break and if you want a new sensation you typically have to purchase a whole new toy, which means a whole new battery too. We’ve solved both of these problems, which is a real win for the planet and winning a Green Product award backs this up.”
The Green Product Award has been recognizing leaders in sustainability, innovation and design since it was first launched in 2013. The awards initiative targets all projects in the market, from start-ups to established companies, and the awards raise awareness among more than 7 million people each year.
