Vixen Media Group, the leader in luxury adult entertainment, announced the exclusive debut of Drift. The story serves as a metaphorical parallel of Maitland’s journey from Hollywood to triple-X stardom and is released on VMG’s renowned site, Deeper.
In collaboration with three-time winning AVN Director of the Year Kayden Kross and 2022 XBIZ Performer of the Year, Maitland Ward, the new five-part adult film feature was created in parallel to the star’s first book set to release September 6 – Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me from Hollywood.
“I read Maitland’s book, Rated X, in anticipation of this project and was also personally very familiar with her story. I’ve always been fascinated by the risks this woman is willing to take and am so proud of the incredible reward it’s earned her, and that’s what I wanted to mirror in Drift. From the emotional depths of the script to incredible performances, Drift has been a true passion project to create,” said Kayden Kross, Director at Vixen Media Group.
“We had an all-star team bring this vision to life in a five-part series and each scene aims to reflect the pages of Maitland’s empowering, sex-positive memoir. Fans will notice how we really brought the two together and, in the end, Maitland takes the stage as her authentic self, creating an environment that works for her” she continued.
Drift takes influence from Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers, as well as Blue Velvet, and seamlessly folds the aesthetic into the world of Ward’s earlier work on the Mistress Maitland series. The film plays on the idea of living for the public and meeting the standards of Hollywood-imposed personas while stealing moments of authenticity in the shadows. By day, Maitland is America’s Sweetheart, a charming A-list rom-com actress who is happy to step aside and be spoken for, but by night she chases the risks that will meet the needs of who she really is.

The new film is complemented by an all-star cast that includes adult entertainment’s elite, including VMG exclusive performers Violet Myers, Anton Harden, and Little Dragon, and featuring Mick Blue, Seth Gamble, Alex Jones, Jamie Knoxx, Coach Cardher, Danny Mountain and Skye Blue.
