Conor Coxxx, the versatile actor, performer, producer, musician and owner of esteemed talent agency Coxxx Models, has scored a 2023 AVN Award nomination for Mainstream Venture of the Year in acknowledgment of his band The Holdings’ debut EP, ‘Father & Son’.
As David Holding Jr., the former singer/guitarist of The Last Relapse was ecstatic to join musical forces with his father, David Haynes Holding Sr., a respected guitarist/bassist from the halcyon days of the late ‘70s early ‘80s Athens, GA music scene, to craft the hippie/trippy swirling five-song EP that dropped in July.
‘Father & Son’ was well recived and even earned the spot in Relix Magazine’s Digital Artist Sampler – monthly compilation of most-wanted new songs. The exploration of the talent he inherited from his father, rewarded Coxxx with a nomination for AVN’s Mainstream Venture of the Year award.
“While I thoroughly enjoy my adult career, I also enjoy taking some time to explore my musical roots, and the opportunity to write and create songs in the studio with my dad presented itself during the pandemic, and the results turned out more amazing than I ever could have imagined,” said Coxxx.
“I really appreciate and want to thank AVN for nominating The Holdings’ Father & Son EP in the award category of Mainstream Venture of the Year, and my dad for presenting the opportunity to collaborate with him on these songs that took on a life of their own throughout the creative process.
