Cherie DeVille Questions Twitter’s Ongoing Censorship of Sex Workers

Multi-award winner and industry free speech advocate, Cherie DeVille recently wrote an opinion piece for the Daily Beast regarding Twitter’s new free speech policies. But one important question remains – when will the censorship of sex workers be addressed?

It’s Time for the Twitter Files to Focus on Porn Stars‘ opens with Cherie DeVille discussing the infamous Twitter Files, which revealed the censorship and shadowbanning of accounts. But, Cherie is quick to point out that none of these files exposed helped bring to light the many years of sex work and porn being censored by Twitter. Cherie opines about Elon Musk’s silence on the matter, and his connection to an anti-trafficking advocate, Eliza Bleu, who has conflated trafficking with the porn industry in the past.

“I had to speak my mind on the recent push for free speech on Twitter,” said Cherie. “I thought my industry and fellow sex workers would finally get the vindication we deserve, but it appears that the censorship of sex work remains on Twitter. I implore everyone who supports free speech to make your voices heard and help sex workers get their voices back.”

In case you haven’t heard it yet, Cherie has recently won two prestigious awards AVN’s MILF Performer of the Year and XBIZ’s Performer of the Year.
