American company Vibratex, which is the exclusive importer of the hugely popular in America Magic Wand massagers, wants to use its inactive massagers as an art form. In order to do so, the company has announced a contest called Magic Wand Pleasure as Art.
According to the company, it sells almost half a million massagers every year. With such a large number, despite the well-known very careful and solid workmanship, there are sometimes defective products. Vibratex, wants to use them in an unusual way and make them into a work of art. This way, massagers that are unable to provide physical pleasure, instead of going to landfill, can be reused to give people a different kind of pleasure.
Magic Wand Pleasure as Art contest is open to American artists. Its goal is to create a positive work of art that celebrates the joy Magic Wand brings to millions of people around the world. By doing so, Vibratex wants to show the world that Magic Wand can evoke positive emotions even without vibrations. The competition task will be to design a unique artistic work using 100 pieces of unusable massagers.
The submission process will be open for entries on May 10, 2021 and will run through June 30. Interested artists will be able to submit a description and sketches of their design via an entry form. At the end of July 2021, the company’s judging panel will select the winner of the contest. In addition to 100 massagers, the winner will also receive $10,000 to create their artwork. Following the contest, the finished artwork will be toured and displayed in well-known erotic stores, boutiques and showrooms across the country.
